As you might expect, April has seen lots of new growth in the garden and we’ve also had the landscaping team back who built us our new greenhouse base and wall. The greenhouse and coldframe is being installed towards the end of May so I’ll be sure to include it in next months video.

We planted a bare root ornamental cherry tree (prunus serrula) in December; it’s a multi-stem specimen and we positioned it at the foot of the mound that we created in June. One of the first things we did this month was visit ‘Isabella Plantation‘ in Richmond Park. I highly recommend this place – its totally magical. Although there was so much to do in the garden, I knew that for 2017 I really wanted to have some home grown flowering plants in time for summer, so in March I planted some helianthus annuus seeds (nothing fancy just some sunflowers!)
